| London Brother 15/08/2008 London brother Steph Morgan has just had a lazy day check out on Document's site, complete with astroturf and Alfie. Also, get over to Slam City Skates and download the new Hold Tight London. Steph and relocated Durban ripper Shaun Witherup have got some serious footage in there, as usual. Cyber Stipcich 13/08/2008  A few years ago, Clint had been filming with Simon for AV3. As years went by the footage had not been released and after Simon got on Familia, Clint was kind enough to hand over the footage so we could drop a web edit. Simon had also been in London filming with the van Staden brothers so a lot of the footage is from there as well as plenty Durban footy filmed by Ryder Nel. Some of the footage is around four years old as you can see by his height. Tall video part coming some time soon... Check it out here. Cape Town 06/08/2008  JJ went to film in Cape Town with Loucas and Jacoby. He came back with some footy and photos. Check the travel blog. A Haze of Days 30/07/2008 A little news is that Loucas Polydorou is getting gear from RVCA, Adrian is on Independent Trucks, and Gav just put together "A Haze of Days", a few pics shot by friends over the last month or so. Check it on the Travel Blog. The Butcher 09/07/2008 Butcher did a series of boards for us a long time ago. He did the Facades series and also did the Natural Selection T-shirt. Then we asked him for an interview, which has taken longer than you will ever understand. So late it was, that it basically had to be redone. Steakfarm 30/06/2008 Our longtime pal St[e]ak just did a little interview for the site to coincide with the release of his artwork on our sticks. Check it out and learn about The Biz, The Snake and The Molotov Kid. The boards will be in [due to heavy delays] by the end of July at all respectable skateboard shops. Session 26/06/2008  Check out the new Session mag on shelves now which features Adrian, Gavin, Clint and Simon in Barcelona along with Gav Scott, JB Mcknight, Jacoby, Neil Hughes and more... Nice one on Simon getting the cover too... Also, Gav and Adrian just got back from a trip to the coast where some others pulled in too. It was super hippy with morning yoga, hikes and hill bombing. Munks Concepts Store 06/06/2008  An old friend of ours, Dylan McKnight, has opened up Munks Concepts Store on 7th Street in Melville. He's carrying a load of good gear including ours. Swing by and check it out. It's dope. Sutcliffe, Stores and Sweden, Sucka 04/06/2008  This is Homage board recipient, Mike Sutcliffe. Mike is a proper ripper. New stash of boards and Script hats at all Boogaloos stores, with hoods available at Brightwater, Monte Casino and Festival Mall. Jump on it. If you are in Sweden, make your way to Skate.nu and check out where you can find a Bang Chong screening over the next few days. Our Swedish Suit 29/05/2008 Do most distributors even skate these days? Maybe some do. Ours does, and after something like a year in a cast Sean went for his first skate. Fakie ollie switch front feeble? Check it. Unedited interview 22/05/2008 Adrian recently had an interview in Blunt magazine. Him and Butcher did the interviews at the bar and came up with a ton of ramble. Obviously due to space the mag edited the interview down quite a bit. We still had the unedited version so thought we'd bomb it up on the site, primarily to appease The Butcher. Familia in Sweden 21/05/2008 As of now Familia is proudly being distributed in Sweden by Division Distribution. We are stoked to be in a few very very dope stores, including PTNC in Gothenburg, who just recently had a little skate jam bbq. Check it all out here. Bang Chong is also undergoing some Swedish premieres, the first being with Low Skateshop in Linkoping tomorrow [22May 2008]. Alongside the premiere will be a best line contest with two divisions, junior and senior, with 1st and 2nd places. The contest will be between 18:00 and 20:30, and prize giving and another bbq from 20.30 - 21.45. Shortly after will be the screening of Bang Chong. There are another three premieres scheduled, and we will keep you up to speed, hopefully not just on the day before! Familia are also looking to hook up a couple Swedish riders, and have already got some footy in. Stay tuned for Familia rolling out into more Scandinavian and Euro countries soon... Thanks to Sean Fry, Division, PTNC and Low Skateshop. Yes Eddie 03/05/2008  The Barcelona trip is over, but it was a blast. Unfortunately it was a little short, but we got a lot of footage in the time allowed. Clint has stayed on travelling around France with his lady, Jacoby is somewhere in Croatia, but the rest are back in SA. Thanks to everyone who made the trip, and keep your eyes open for an article in Session Magazine shortly. Also check out the May issue of Blunt magazine with Three Legged Eddie on the cover. Adrian also has an interview in there somewhere... Travel Blog 11/04/2008 We're on the road. Check out the travel blog which should be updated over the next month. Later Loucas 10/04/2008  As usual it's been a while since an update, but that means that we've actually got something to tell you. Firstly, this is the newly designed Familia site, with Youtube footy, product pages and new rider bio's. We hope you like it. Rider Updates Loucas has had enough of JHB and is heading down to Cape Town, thus finally giving us a CT rider. He's heading out on April Fools Day. He's having a hard time balancing the skating and Electro DJ nightlife. Adrian has been skating a permission pool religiously and feelin' it. He's got a full interview coming out in the April or May issue of Blunt. He's also cut the ciggies yet again, and he's more ill-tempered than ever. Clint took a proper break from skating for a while but he's got his head back on and is riding about with that sickening natural talent he possesses. He's smoking plenty. Gavin has been bumming on a bung-ass foot for a while, but he's back riding the city and getting back on the filming program. He's off to see his family in London shortly. Mark has apparently been filming with JP Redpath in the DBN. He recently turned 21 and smashed his car too. Simon is back on and rollin'. We will be dropping a Simon web video part shortly, edited by Clint, so stay tuned. Product We're dropping a new board series in a few weeks - The Orwell Series. If you haven't heard of George, Animal Farm or 1984, go here. He said some pretty poignant things in his time which is very relevant to us now, so he inspired us to drop a series based on some of his quotes. We've got new ball hats in with an embroidered F. F-F-F-F-FRESH! Also Familia Zip-Up hooded sweaters, in black and heather. Just in time for the winter too... Travels Clint, Gavin, Adrian, Simon and filmer JJ will be heading out to Barca for a quick 2 week mission on the 25th April.
